Ice-breaker passenger liner enters Port of Richards Bay
Ice-rated vessel that takes tourists to the Arctic and Antarctica, entered the Port of Richards Bay at the weekend

One of the more unusual and interesting vessels to enter the Port of Richards Bay is the expedition cruise ship Hebridean Sky, which arrived at the harbour on Sunday.
Smaller than most passenger liners at just 90.6 metres in length, she is an ice-rated vessel that takes tourists to the Arctic and Antarctica.
Built in 1991 and extensively remodelled in 2016, her skilled staff of polar veterans, including historians, ornithologists, geologists and marine mammal experts, lead lectures and discussions throughout the voyage and give passengers the opportunity to be involved in citizen science programmes.
