Lace up now for South32 Hippo Marathon action

Runners invited to enter the South32 Hippo Marathon taking place in Richards Bay next weekend

Last year's Hippo Marathon was a resounding success, with a new sponsor for the 2025 event

The South32 Hippo Marathon is just around the corner and runners are invited to enter before 2 April.

Proudly sponsored by South32 Hillside Aluminium, the event promises to be a day filled with excitement, giveaways and fun.

Set to take place on Saturday, 5 April at Zululand Multi Sport Club in Richards Bay, this is an exciting test of endurance and determination, with the main race of 42.2km a Comrades Marathon qualifier. There will also be a 21.1km race and a 10km event.

Runners may enter online at www.msem.co.za before 2 April.

Entry fees are R400 for the 42.2km race, R360 plus R85 for a temporary licence for the 21.1km race, and R250 plus R55 for a temporary licence for the 10km race.

Finishers will receive a medal, branded shirt and goodie bag.
