Grown-up problems with BIG 40

Theatre performer and playwright Wellington Makwakwa will relay his next story - hitting the big 4-0 at a show in Empangeni on Friday night

Hitting 40 is a life-changing moment, and Wellington Makwakwa will tell the audience all about it when he hits the stage on Friday night.

After telling the story of being Gogo’s Boy, and that of a loving, caring wife, the theatre performer and playwright will relay his next story – hitting the big 4-0 – in what is set to be another hilarious one-hander, BIG 40: It’s Not a Comedy Show.

The hour-long show will feature at Empangeni Country Club from 7pm.

“Life changes when you get to this age, and things that used to matter become unimportant. It’s a decade to relook at yourself and at past mistakes.

“Life is totally different and, while everything happens like it’s a comedy show, it’s not and one has to find a way of dealing with things,” said Wellington.

Tickets are R120, which includes wine and birthday cake. For seat bookings, WhatsApp 081 0197976.
