Richards Bay endurance athlete aims to run 300km in 48 hours

Marsha Muller aims to break her previous ladies' 48-hour running record but needs your help to make it happen

RICHARDS Bay endurance athlete Marsha Muller is at it again – aiming to once again break the ladies’ 48-hour running record.

From 30 May to 1 June she will be competing in the UltraPark 48-hour World Champs in Poland as the only competitor representing the African continent.

Having broken both the South African and African ladies’ 48-hour records in both 2022 and 2023, where she ran 267.5km and 272.8km respectively, Marsha aims to breach the 300km mark this time around.

All this is achieved by running a continuous 1.7km loop.

“I really look forward to bringing back another nice record for us in South Africa,” said Marsha.

But to do this, she needs assistance with the final outstanding amount of R23 000 to cover her flights, accommodation and some transport.

With a total bill of R70 000, Marsha has secured the bulk of the cost through various sponsorships, leaving just the R23 000 outstanding.

Those willing and able to contribute can make donations into Marsha’s World Champs bank account:
World 48hr Championship; Capitec Bank; account number: 1285612130; branch code: 470010.
