Police seek next of kin after body was recovered in Nsezi River

The body of a male was found floating in the river near the N2 at eNseleni last month

SAPS in the King Cetshwayo Cluster are looking for the next of kin of an as yet unidentified man whose body was recovered from the Nsezi River.

According to King Cetshwayo Cluster police spokesperson Captain Siyanda Shangase, the body of an African male was found floating in the river near the N2 at eNseleni on 14 March.

He said the man was estimated to be 35 years of age and described the deceased as well-built, with a round face, a beard on the chin, and was wearing black skinny jeans.

“He had a thin rope around his hip and his trousers were fastened with plastic at the front. An inquest docket was opened at Empangeni SAPS,” said Shangase.

Anyone who may know the deceased is urged to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer BSN Nhleko on 082 5570215 or the police station on 035 9015800.
