Donate blood at Richards Bay mobile clinic this Sunday
SANBS mobile clinic in Veldenvlei on Sunday, 1 June urges locals to donate and save lives
The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is bringing its mobile blood clinic to Veldenvlei this weekend to encourage blood donations.
Residents are invited to visit the clinic between 11am and 4pm on Sunday, 1 June at The Abundant Life Centre, 2 Bottlebrush Bend, and donate a pint of blood.

While the Richards Bay Blood Donor Centre at Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre next to Pick n Pay is open from Monday to Saturday, the mobile service offers a convenient opportunity for locals to donate on Sunday.
“It’s only through voluntary donations that we save lives. Every pint saves up to three. Donate a pint today,” said Richards Bay community activist Ivan Naidoo.
Naidoo’s life was saved by a blood transfusion in March 2024, highlighting the importance of donations.
“I had to wait for two pints. You’re waiting — and busy dying,” he said.
Having already donated 91 pints, Naidoo aims to donate four times a year.
For more information, contact Ivan Naidoo on 082 451 1179 or visit the Veldenvlei mobile blood clinic on Sunday.
