WATCH: Zululand’s most prestigious tea party enjoys 007 charms

Shaken, not stirred, and stronger together at charity tea

Saturday’s Bond Spectacular-themed Tea on the Terrace saw glamorous ‘agents’ gather with a not so secret mission of raising funds for charity.

With 250 ladies showing their support for the Zululand Observer’s charity arm Dice (Do I Care Enough?), the 11th clash of the teacups – the 9th hosted at Umfolozi Casino – raised a dazzling R61 900 on pledges alone.

Top entertainment included cool beats from Felixton College’s marimba band, a soulful tribute from Grantleigh saxophonist Yoné Nel, and timeless classics from sensational Mycle-Lee Beaumont.

The highlight was Zululand’s own 007, Rob Bentele – Survivor SA 2019 winner – who shared raw stories from his time on the show.

Spectacular raffle prizes were given away, while Umfolozi Casino nabbed first prize for best table.
