The City of uMhlathuze applies for an interdict against Samwu-led strike

There is no end in sight to the ongoing workers’ strike in the City of uMhlathuze as negotiations remain frozen, awaiting a Labour Court judgment.

This after the municipality approached the Durban court last Thursday, applying for an interdict to halt the ‘unprotected and illegal’ strike led by the South African Municipal Workers’ Union (Samwu).
