WATCH: R102 closed near Prince Buthelezi Mall construction site

Road closed: R102 set for major upgrade in the vicinity of the Prince Buthelezi Mall, currently under construction in Empangeni

The R102 in the vicinity of the Prince Buthelezi Mall construction site in Empangeni, has been closed until further notice.

This is to allow the complete upgrade of the road leading to the mall’s entrance.

Motorists will have to access Empangeni via the N2 until the upgrade is complete.

The R1-billion shopping mall, which is being cited among several economic game changers for the City of uMhlathuze, is expected to open in March next year.

It is anticipated to draw investment of more than R100-million into local communities.
