More than 30 000 social grant beneficiaries under review in Zululand region

While social grants have not been suspended, the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) continues to review thousands of beneficiaries

Amid much confusion as to the state of social grants, recipients can rest assured that grants have not been suspended.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) is, however, undertaking a grants review process to verify the eligibility of beneficiaries suspected of receiving undisclosed additional income.

According to Sassa KZN senior manager of communication and marketing, Sandy Godlwana, based on their database, 36 258 affected beneficiaries are in the Zululand region…
