Two boys die in tragic N2 accident

Two boys, aged 6 and 10, were killed and their heavily pregnant mother was critically injured when they were hit by a vehicle on the N2.

The accident occurred at about 7pm on Wednesday, in the Amatikulu area.

IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Kelsey Jane Meyrick said, on arrival at the scene they established that the woman and her children had been hit by a vehicle while they were walking home.“Sadly, both the boys sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on scene,” said Meyrick.

The critically injured woman was stabilised on scene and rushed to hospital for further medical care.
