Truck drivers killed in horrific N2 crash near Mtubatuba

The weekend ended in tragedy for two truck drivers who lost their lives in a horrific crash on the N2 near Mtubatuba.

The accident, involving three trucks and three light motor vehicles, occurred at the Umfolozi Bridge on Sunday evening.

Emergency Services, including Fast Care paramedics, attended to the scene where the two truck drivers were declared dead.

Three seriously injured patients were transported to the Bay Hospital for further treatment.

It is reported that the driver of a truck transporting a container was travelling from Eteza when he lost control at a sharp bend near the bridge, crashing into a tanker and a side-tipper truck. This led to a pile-up with three light cars crashing into the scene.
