uMlalazi celebrates Men’s Month

Men's Month wraps up in uMlalazi with Imbizo Yamadoda event

July is regarded as the month where men are celebrated for their contributions and roles in society.

uMlalazi Municipality on Thursday successfully hosted its Imbizo Yamadoda in Ward 9; a gathering of men aimed at creating a safe space for sharing challenges and educating each other about manhood, culture and religion.

During the event, the elderly men expressed their concerns about the youth, highlighting the need for guidance and mentorship.

The discussions emphasised the importance of culture and religion in shaping manhood, with a focus on promoting positive values and behaviours.

Men shared their challenges and experiences, creating a supportive environment for open discussion.

The event promoted a sense of brotherhood among the citizens, providing a valuable opportunity for men to come together and discuss issues that affect them.
