One person injured in Empangeni collision

One person has been injured in a collision between a taxi and a light motor vehicle on the R34 Main Road in Empangeni this (Monday) afternoon.

The accident, which occurred near the Central Park intersection, left a passenger in the light motor vehicle injured.

It is reported that the taxi, which was travelling towards the Rail, lost control and crashed into a light motor vehicle that was travelling towards Empangeni CBD.

Emergency services were quickly on scene to attend to the injured occupant.

The accident caused the closure of the lane heading towards the CBD, with motorists forced to use an alternative route until the scene cleared.
