WATCH: Death toll from N2 Amatikulu horrific crash rises to 6

The lifeless body of the truck driver involved in this morning’s (Saturday) fatal accident on the N2 northbound near Amatikulu River bridge was located this afternoon, bringing the death toll to six.

While the Road Traffic Inspectorate and emergency services were on scene, the body of the driver was found trapped in the truck that was loaded with sugar. The jaws of life were used to extricate the body from the vehicle.

KwaZulu-Natal MEC of Transport and Human Settlements Siboniso Duma has expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims.
