City of uMhlathuze revises refuse removal roster

City of uMhlathuze waste collection plan for Empangeni, Ngwelezane and surrounds for the upcoming week

In a bid to improve efficiency surrounding waste removal, the City of uMhlathuze’s Waste Management Services has revised the refuse removal roster for Ngwelezane, uMhlathuze Village and Empangeni.

The plan is as follows

· Monday, 1 September Ngwelezane: Thinasobabili, Phesheya, Newtown, Mbali and Jabulani

· Tuesday, 2 September uMhlathuze Village: DMV Phase 1, DMV Phase 2, DMV Phase 3, DMV bond houses and Khuleka Industrial Park

· Wednesday, 3 Septmber Empangeni: Fairview, Felixton, Panorama, Richem, Kildare and Grantham Park

· Thursday, 4 September Empangeni: Noordsig, Nyala Park, Khuleka Industrial Park, Zidedele, Vuvuzela, Old Mill, Hillview, Mack Road and Qalakabusha

· Friday, 5 August: Ngwelezane communal skips

“Waste collection has been revised to improve efficiency and ensure reliable waste provision across all above-mentioned areas,” said the city in a statement on Thursday, adding that ward councillors would disseminate information relating to any changes in the schedule.
