New house donated to rally bus accident victim

IFP donates fully furnished, two-bedroom home to bus crash victim left wheelchair-bound

A wheelchair-bound accident victim welcomed the donation of a new home on Monday.

Nkosinathi Zulu was last March heading to Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium for an IFP rally when the bus in which he was travelling was involved in an accident.

He suffered serious injuries that left him wheelchair-bound and forced to live with his mother and brother.

To assist Zulu, the party donated a fully furnished, two-bedroom home – adapated for his accessibility needs – in the Qhibukhowe area of KwaCeza under Ulundi Municipality.

“We stand with our members in good times and difficult moments. We respect the dignity of every person. That is why the house is not just any house, but one worthy of being given to a human being,” said IFP President Velenkosini Hlabisa.

Zulu expressed his gratitude. “I am truly grateful that my party has built this house for me. For the first time since the accident, I will be able to access the bathroom inside the house without needing assistance.”
