Report municipal issues via call centre, urges Empangeni ward councillor

Ward 23 councillor calls on residents to log service faults through City of uMhlathuze 24/7 municipal call centre.

In a bid to improve services and keep track of fault-related actions taken, City of uMhlathuze Ward 23 Councillor Andre de Lange recently outlined the procedures for reporting issues and concerns to the municipality.

“It is crucial for the effective management and service delivery in our ward that you report any issues or concerns to our municipal call centre,” said De Lange.

“Please phone the municipal call centre to report problems such as infrastructure issues, service delivery concerns, or any other municipal-related matters.”

De Lange said complainants are assigned a reference number, and that when residents report an issue, they must ensure they are given a reference number from the call centre and note the name of the call centre employee.

The reference number is essential for municipal departments to: log and track the report; respond appropriately to concerns, and keep records of action taken.

“Your participation and reporting help us improve services and address challenges promptly. We encourage you to use this channel for reporting and following up on issues affecting our community. Thank you for your cooperation and involvement in making our ward a better place,” said De Lange.

Contact the 24/7 municipal call centre on 0800 222827 / 035 9075000.
