Mass rabies vaccination campaign hits Zululand region

More than 200 animals vaccinated in Mtunzini as rabies vaccination campaign is held in region

Some 200 dogs and 44 cats were vaccinated against rabies in Mtunzini on Tuesday.

This as the Department of Agriculture’s vet services held a rabies clinic in the town, with more areas in the region to be visited over the next few days.

The team is at the Gingindlovu post office between 9am and 12 noon today (Wednesday), and in Naickerville from noon to 4pm.

On Thursday, they will be in Amatikulu, near the sugar mill from 9am to noon.

Pet owners in these areas and nearby are urged to take their animals for vaccinations; it is a legal requirement.
