This is all in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Afrikaans being recognised as an official language in South Africa.

In light of this, Virseker’s campaign features two original birthday songs created by two renowned artists – Die Piesangskille and Tasché – each inspired by over 100 public submissions.

“This isn’t just a project – it’s a celebration of identity and community,” said Morné van Emmenes, head of marketing at Virseker.

Voting is open until this Friday, 31 October and is available here: https://www.virseker.co.za/onsverjaar/

The winner will be announced in two weeks.
