Join the conversation: Breast and cervical cancer

Faith, strength and awareness all in one event this Sunday in Richards Bay

Women are invited to an information sharing event on breast and cervical cancer, hosted by Eagles Nest Church this Sunday, 2 November at 2 Pipit Place, Birdswood from 3pm.

Guest speaker, specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Suvarnah Bodasingh, based at Melomed Richards Bay, will be leading the conversations alongside Dr Mariëtte Mouton, a specialist plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Richards Bay.

Bodasingh’s compassionate, expert care is grounded in a commitment to ensure every woman feels valued and supported throughout her health journey.

Raised on the outskirts of KwaDukuza, Bodasingh’s roots instilled in her a strong sense of community and resilience.

She also contributes to the future of medicine as an honorary lecturer at UKZN, where she mentors medical students.

Mouton was born and raised in Upington and studied medicine at Stellenbosch University, later completing her specialist training in plastic surgery at Wits University.

With experience in both public and private healthcare, Dr Mouton is passionate about restoring form and function, empowering patients through education, and combining surgical excellence with compassionate care.

The event is free, and guests are invited to bring along refreshments to share. All ages are welcome. Contact Pastor Rachel on 060 5673581 for more information.
