Sew, a resident of Brackenham, was reported missing on Tuesday after he failed to return home. His disappearance sparked widespread concern within the community.
Police launched an investigation after Sew’s family received a ransom demand, leading to cases of kidnapping and hijacking being opened.
Community Police Forums across Richards Bay, together with local security companies, joined forces in an extensive search that continued from Wednesday night into the early hours of Thursday morning.
Police in Jozini later recovered Sew’s vehicle and arrested the suspects. Their detention led investigators to the grim discovery of his body in Aquadene.
Police investigations into the murder are continuing.
