Search intensifies for missing Richards Bay man

Richards Bay resident missing after reported hijacking and kidnapping

The search continues for Richards Bay resident Ranjankumar Sew, who has been missing since Tuesday morning.

Sew was last seen leaving his home at around 10:30am, reportedly on his way to the Brackenham Community Clinic, but he never arrived.

Concern grew when his white Toyota Avanza could not be located, prompting relatives to open a case with the Richards Bay Police Station.

Police have since launched an investigation, with a case of hijacking and kidnapping opened.

In a statement, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) confirmed that Sew has not been seen or heard from since his disappearance.

According to family members, information was received suggesting that his vehicle was spotted at several locations and later captured on camera near the Dondotha Reserve in KwaMbonambi.

Sew is a retired salesman, described as clean-shaven and balding, with no tattoos. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact RUSA Headquarters on 0861 234 333 or Louie Naidoo (family representative) on 082 4525429.
