Emergency services respond to collision between bakkie and truck on the N2 between eNseleni and KwaMbonambi

One motorist was injured and taken to hospital after the vehicle in which they were travelling collided with a tipper truck.

The accident occurred on the N2 between eNseleni and KwaMbonambi, in the vicinity of the old chicken station, at around 11am.

Reports from the scene indicate that the bakkie, which was travelling on the northbound carriageway, was overtaking the truck in front, which was turning left off the N2.

The bakkie collided with the tipper truck, which had been turning out from the chicken station side of the northbound carriageway, across the N2 to get to the southbound side.

Medcare 24 transported the injured bakkie driver to hospital, while the tipper truck driver was uninjured.
