KZN Education notes rigorous, transparent and quality-assured assessment cycle conducted across all marking centres

The KZN education department has announced the conclusion of the 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) marking process.

Marking was concluded on Saturday. Education MEC Sipho Hlomuka explained that the process marked the final phase of a rigorous, transparent and quality-assured assessment cycle conducted across all marking centres across KZN.

Hlomuka commended all officials involved for their professionalism, discipline and unwavering commitment.

“The successful completion of the 2025 NSC marking process is a testament to the integrity, dedication and resilience of our education workforce. I wish to commend our markers, centre managers, administrators, quality assurance teams, as well as security and catering personnel, for executing their responsibilities with excellence and precision,” he said.

Hlomuka further emphasised the commitment of his department to safeguarding the credibility of the examination system.

“The credibility of the National Senior Certificate remains non-negotiable. The smooth running of this marking process reflects our collective commitment to accountability, fairness, and quality education for all learners in KwaZulu-Natal,” he explained.
