Have your say – Treasury calls for 2026 budget input
Public called to make their voices heard and submit input on government spending priorities
Ahead of the delivery of the 2026 national budget, Treasury has urged the public to make their voices heard by submitting input on, among others, government spending priorities for the year.
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana will deliver the budget speech on 25 February.
The budget allocation aims to strike a balance between growing the economy and supporting the vulnerable amid limited resources.
People may submit views on:
* government spending priorities
* addressing a large budget deficit
* stabilising State-owned Entity finances
* energy and water investments
* tax policies
* debt sustainability
* municipal finances
* any other economy-related topics
The public has until 16 February to make submissions using this link: Budget Tips or Tag treasury on social media using the hashtag #TipsForMinFin and #Budget2026:
