5 people killed in N2 crash near Mtubatuba

Five people lost their lives in a serious collision on the N2 near Mtubatuba on Friday night.

It is reported that a light motor vehicle and a tipper truck collided in Manandi along the N2 resulting in the tragic death of four adults and one child.
Two other people were seriously injured.

KZN MEC for Transport Siboniso Duma has extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those who are injured.

“We have agreed with RTI that an investigation into this accident must be launched in collaboration with the Road Traffic Management Corporation and SAPS,” said Duma.
