Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman Mabheka Zulu receives humanitarian award during 50th birthday celebration in Richards Bay

For his dedication to improve the lives of KZN residents, Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman Mabheka Zulu received a humanitarian award from the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta).

Cogta MEC Thulasizwe Buthelezi, joined by Cogta Minister Velenkosini Hlabisa, presented the award on Zulu’s 50th birthday in Richards Bay on Saturday night.

The event was attended by senior members of the Zulu royal household, with amaKhosi, government officials and business leaders.

King Misuzulu kaZwelithini shared a congratulatory message, delivered by Buthelezi, commending Prince Mabheka Zulu for his consistent efforts in fostering social cohesion and bridging the relationship between the Indian and Zulu communities.

Speaking at the event, Buthelezi noted Ramlutchman’s loyalty to the legacy of the late King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu and the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

“As I reflect on this 50-year journey, I extend gratitude to my Divine Master, my parents, His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini KaBhekuzulu, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, and my spiritual guides. Our focus remains on serving humanity and fostering a peaceful environment through internal change,” he said.
