Meerensee CPF warns of crime surge

Surge in criminal activity in Meerensee, residents urged to be vigilant

Residents of Meerensee are urged to refrain from leaving valuables in vehicles, and to ensure all valuables are locked away and gates to properties securely closed.

This after a surge in criminal activity as reported by the Meerensee CPF on Tuesday.

“Please attend to your barking dogs promptly as intruders are targeting homes and vehicles with items such as cellphones, tablets, laptops and electronics for financial gain,” warned the CPF on its Facebook page.

“The responders and patrollers are working tirelessly to ensure resident safety.

“To prevent theft, please refrain from leaving valuables in vehicles, and ensure they are locked away at all times.

“Additionally, residents are urged to secure gates to prevent opportunities for crime.”
