On the local front
With favourable angling conditions over the past weekend, fish were biting along most of our coastline.
Guitarfish, butterfly rays, and a variety of sharks and rays continue to feed actively.
Nicky Venter from Tugela Angling Club hooked and landed an outstanding ragged-tooth shark weighing 279kg.
This remarkable catch could potentially be a new Zululand and South African record, and is awaiting ratification.
Anglers are also reporting quality rockcod, bronze bream, and various reef species being caught.
Those willing to put in the time are being well rewarded.
