4 injured in N2 single-vehicle rollover

Several injured in weekend collisions, including single-vehicle rollover on N2 and John Ross crash involving a car and a truck

FOUR occupants sustained minor injuries when the vehicle in which they were travelling rolled several times, coming to a halt on its roof, up an embankment.

The crash occurred just before 1pm today (Sunday) on the N2 about 2km south of KwaMbonambi.

According to reports from the scene, the vehicle was travelling south when it appears to have suffered a blowout, causing the driver to lose control.

Mounties EMS attended the scene, where they treated the occupants before transporting them to eNseleni Clinic.

Meanwhile, one person was critically injured in an accident involving a car and a truck on the John Ross highway on Saturday afternoon.

A further three people sustained moderate injuries and another three minor injuries.

The collision occurred at the Alumina Allee intersection on the John Ross, Richards Bay-bound.

The injured were stabilised on scene and taken to Ngwelezana Hospital for further medical care.
