Diski Boyz run riot in final game

Sharpshooter Khayalethu scores hat-trick plus one

Richards Bay U23 star Khayalethu Ndlangamandla single-handedly destroyed Sekhukhune United in their DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) game played at the Izak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark on Saturday morning.

His two goals in each half in this, the final DDC fixture of the season, sealed a fine campaign for the junior Rich Boyz, one which saw a number of the U23 players given exposure in the Betway Premiership.

NRB played 30 games – won 11, drew 7 and lost 12 – scoring 41 goals along the way, but conceding 43 to end on 40 points.

They certainly have established themselves as a fine feeder outfit for the future of the PSL side, ending in a credible 7th place on the 16-team DDC log.

Orlando Pirates with 75 points were clear winners of the DStv Diski Challenge, easily beating Sundowns (69) in second place.

Following them were: Siwelele (53), Kaizer Chiefs (49), Stellenbosch (49), Orbit College (43), Richards Bay (40), Sekhukhune (39), Golden Arrows (38), Marumo Gallants (38), TS Galaxy (38), AmaZulu (36), Durban City (32), Magesi (31), Polokwane (20) and Chippa United (18).
