KwaDukuza killers get lengthy prison terms
After an intensive trial at the Pietermaritzburg High Court, all four were found guilty on all counts
FOUR murderers found guilty of fatally shooting two men in August 2020, were each sentenced to two life terms by the Pietermaritzburg High Court last week.
Njabulo Cele (24) and Francis Kuhumi (17) were shot and killed at Lindelani Sports Ground in KwaDukuza.

The High Court heard that the victims were driving in a vehicle at the sports ground when Skhumbuzo Nxumalo (33), Mzwanele Radebe (42), Bhekezakhe Yimba (38) and Skhumbuzo Mathenjwa (41) shot and killed them.
Both Cele and Kuhumi were declared deceased at the scene. A case of double murder was registered at KwaDukuza Police Station.
Once arrested, the four suspects were charged with double murder as well as possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
After an intensive trial at the Pietermaritzburg High Court, all four were found guilty on all counts.
Apart from the double life term handed down to each man, they were also each sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment for the lesser charges.
