Grantleigh hockey girls do Zululand region proud

Grantleigh 1st team hockey girls finish 6th in KZN, achieving highest SPAR challenge Grand Final ranking by a Zululand school in 16 years

AFTER winning the SPAR KZN Hockey Regionals by defeating Felixton in a penalty shoot-out in May, Grantleigh Schools’ first team hockey girls took on the other nine regional winners in the Grand Final last weekend.

Coach Cullum Wood’s girls played their way into the plate final, eventually finishing in 6th place overall – the highest any Zululand school has ranked in the 16 years of the competition.
