Dr Irene joins impressive Cuppa panel

This October, the annual Cuppa for CANSA, hosted by Dr Jayeshnee Moodley, is set to be one to remember.
Joining the stellar panel is Dr Irene Coutsoudis.
Passionate about collaboration and community, Dr Irene runs a successful community-based medical practice in St Lucia.
About Dr Irene
As a GP, Dr Irene has diversified her practice and skills through further education.
She obtained her MBChB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2005 and subsequently completed a Master of Medical Science (MMedSci) in Paediatrics.
Her postgraduate work involved an intensive period of clinical and academic research within the paediatric and neonatal setting, including working in the neonatal intensive care unit with premature and medically vulnerable infants.
Additionally, Dr Irene holds a diploma in obstetrics through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.
She has maintained a strong interest in women’s and children’s health throughout her career.
Offering broad family medicine, Dr Irene cares for patients across all stages of life — from newborns and children to adults and the elderly.

Her practice advocates for preventative healthcare, including women’s health, and the management of both acute and chronic medical conditions.
Serving in the close-knit community of St Lucia has laid the foundation for Dr Irene’s approach to medicine.
Using her platform and influence, she believes good healthcare extends beyond diagnosis and treatment, and is built on listening, compassion, education, and helping patients feel informed and supported through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.
Dr Irene is honoured to be part of this year’s Cuppa for CANSA panel, which is an amazing event that brings people together around cancer awareness, education, support and hope.
