WATCH: Shooting leaves one person dead in Meerensee

Road temporarily closed as police comb crime scene in Richards Bay

One person has been killed in a hail of bullets in Meerensee this (Tuesday) morning.

According to reports from the scene, the man had been at his home at Ladyfish Nook when he was fatally wounded just before 9am.

Neighbours reported hearing several gunshots at the time of the incident.

Police are currently on scene, and an investigation is underway.

Ladyfish Nook has been cordoned off, with residents urged to approach the area with caution.
