THE Richards Bay FC U23 side paid dearly for not finishing off numerous scoring opportunities when they conceded the only goal of the game late in the second half on Saturday.

They clearly had the better of Lamontville Golden Arrows in their DStv Diski Challenge contest played at Princess Magogo Stadium, but were pipped by a Katlego Moloi goal with just 3 of the 90 minutes remaining on the stopwatch.

The points were there for the taking but the chances came and went at regular intervals.

The junior Rich Boyz’ next fixture will be away to Sekhukhune on Sunday morning.
