PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION TO STUDENT ACCOMMODATION OPERATORS WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF CITY OF UMHLATHUZE MUNICIPALITY The City of uMhlathuze Municipality hereby invites all property owners and operators providing student accommodation within residential properties within uMhlathuze Municipal area to attend a face-to-face engagement session with the Municipal officials. The purpose of the engagement is to:
•Provide guidance on compliance requirements relating to student accommodation operations within residential properties.
•Discuss relevant legislative requirements.
•Address challenges experienced by property owners operating student accommodation.
•Address impact on surrounding communities (nuisance).
•Engage on enforcement measures and implications. All operators of student accommodation and individuals intending to establish student accommodation are encouraged to attend and participate in this important engagement session.
