NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY FOR THE EXPROPRIATION OF SERVITUDES OF POWER TRANSMISSION 1. TAKE NOTICE that the National Transmission Company South Africa SOC Limited (`NTCSA`) intends to apply to the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure for the expropriation of a servitude of electric power transmission over the following property: i.Portion 1 OF THE FARM LLANWARNE 603 PTN 0 HU under transfer Deed NO: T14596/2022 2. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that NTCSA intends to apply for the expropriation of a perpetual 55- metre-wide servitude for electric power transmission over the abovementioned property, along the route (s) as agreed upon, subject to any existing servitude or other real rights, to convey electricity across the property utilising a 400 kV power line(s) each consisting of conductors mounted on poles or structures together with such support structure or mechanism as may be necessary of convenient. 3. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that NTCSA requires the servitude indicate above to strengthen and alleviate network constraints due to increased electricity demand in the Northern Kwa Zulu Natal region by strengthening the existing network with an additional 400kV transmission powerline which will allow for the Iphiva 400/132kV substation to be integrated with the existing electricity network. 4. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that any person having an interest in the proposed expropriation is entitled to inspect the entire application and obtain further particulars in respect thereof at TKN Incorporated, 62/64 Florida Road, Morningside, Durban, during business hours by making an appointment at 031 303 2022 or by email to Zivumile Ncwadi – zee@tkninc.co.za. 5. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that any person who has an interest in the proposed expropriation is entitled to file an objection, supported by the relevant submission within 21 (TWENTY-ONE) days after the date upon which this notice is published. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that any person who may be adversely affected by the proposed expropriation is entitled, under the provisions of section 6 of the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act 3 of 2000, to review the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure`s decision to approve the proposed expropriation within 180 (ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY) days after the decision has been taken under section 27 of the Electricity Regulation Act 4 of 2006.
