NOTICE OF BASIC ASSESSMENT PROCESS APPLICATION FOR PROSPECTING RIGHT TOGETHER WITH THE APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORIZATION. Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 16 of the Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act (Act 28 of 2002) read together with EIA Regulations (as amended, April 2017) published under Government Notice No. 982, published under National Environmental Management Act (Act 107 of 1998, as amended) for the following proposed activities: PROJECT DESCRIPTION Nomaphenduka Property and Mining (Pty) Ltd holds acceptance letter for prospecting right application (KZN30/5/1/1/2/12184PR) to explore potential Copper, Iron Ore, Tantalum/Niobium Ore and Tin Ore on a portion of Remaining Extent of Farm Ximba 16506, magisterial district of Ulundi. The projects trigger the following listed activities in EIA Regulations (as amended) (GNR 327, Listing Notice 1), Activity 20 and Activity 27 which therefore necessitate the undertaking of Basic Assessment Process.
