JUST having read the news about new identity cards and a plan by our government to curb fraudulent activities, I feel it is a good thing to bring changes, but sometimes it brings pain when the changes are introduced without considering the circumstances.
I am not sure how many unemployed people can afford the R140?
One would ask why the first issue was not offered for free and then, when it is lost, a charge would be instituted to curb negligence.
Its also amazing to hear that senior politicians and some prominent figures were issued with these new cards. Did they pay?
