We’re down to the final few days of Christmas shopping, and for a select few people, it’s always impossible to shop for.
If you have the cash to burn, it seems the most popular gifts over the past decade have primarily been technological ones with interconnected devices dominating the wish lists.

1. Smartphones (2010-2019)
With every new iPhone release, these units would fly off the shelves come Christmas. Alternatives like Samsung, Google and Huawei have also been really popular gifts.
2. Tablets (2010-2016)
The launch of the iPad in 2010 redefined portable computing, with these devices fast becoming a top gift for children, students and professionals.
3. Smart speakers (2017-present)
In 2017, Amazon’s Alexa, Apple’s Siri, and Google Assistant became the heart of the smart home revolution. The release of Amazon Echo and Google Home brought voice-activated smart speakers to the mainstream.
4. Gaming consoles (2010-2020)
