Bay Rhythmic Gymnastics Club excelled at the KZN competition

THE Bay Rhythmic Gymnastics Club team recently competed in the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Provincial Competition in Glenwood (Durban), where they dominated the competition.

KZN colours are only awarded at Level 4. Six girls, on this level, entered from the club, and all six were selected for the KZN Rhythmic Gymnastics team.

These talented bunch of young ladies will represent KZN at the National Championships in Durban at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 20-24 September.

Coach Chandré Cronje was also in on the action when she was selected as the coach for the KZN Rhythmic Gymnastics Level 4 team.

But the success for the club did not stop there as the Level 1, 2 and 3 girls also participated and did extremely well, bagging a total of 15 gold, 19 silver and 8 bronze medals.

‘I am so proud all the girls. Remember ‘a dream doesn’t become reality through magic, it takes sweat, determination and hard work’,’ said Cronjé.
