Rugby the big winner

Top eShowe rugby players awarded

THE eShowe Rugby Club had much to celebrate at their annual dinner and prize giving held at the eShowe Sports Club.

They reached two semi-finals, that of the Bozas and Findlay Cups, had won the Weber Cup and the Stewart Shield.

The junior rugby also put on a good show under Rob van Tooren and his team.

Of the junior players, Thobani Zulu, Mabuzo Mhlango, Hlonipho Sibiya, Musa Nkosi, Sheldon van Tooren, Damian Jackson and Simphiwe Zulu represented Zululand.

Daniel Ngonyama and Siphamandla Myeni will be representing the KZN development team in Cape Town later this year and for the 2014 season.

Van Tooren paid tribute to his team of coaches and his main sponsor, Brockwell Engineering respresented by Corrine and Gareth Reeves.
