Mgungundlovu champs in Msholozi Tournamnet

AFTER two days of battle on the eShowe High sports fields, Mgungundlovu outwitted the Mkhanyekude side to take the Msholozi Soccer Title.

The tournament, run under the banner of the Jacob G Zuma Foundation and the Motsepe Foundation, saw eight teams play round-robin games on Saturday.

On Sunday, Zululand teams, uThungulu and Mkhanyekude met each other in the one semi-final, while eThekweni and Mgungundlovu met in the other.

Eventually the finals were contested between Mkhanyekude and Mgungundlovu, who eventually ran out as the winners.

The curtain raiser before the final saw Ukhozi FM Legends take on the Sundowns Legends.

Guests included Patrice Motsepe, President Jacob Zuma and Danny Jordaan among other SAFA delegates.
