Richards Bay FC lose two in a row

Uthongathi FC 2 Richards Bay 1

FOR the second successive game, Richards Bay FC found themselves on the wrong end of a 2-1 result when they lost away to Uthongathi FC on Saturday afternoon.

One goal on either side of half time by the hosts was enough to give NRB another setback in their quest for automatic promotion from the GladAfrica Championship to the PSL.

Richards Bay did get one back shortly before the final whistle but the players, as well as the technical team, will be disappointed at failing to get at least one point in this KZN derby.

Unless there is a turnaround in fortunes, things are looking challenging for head coach Simo Dladla’s outfit, whose next two games are against fellow title chasers Royal AM (21 April away) and Sikhukhune United (25 April home).
