Tronox is showing its strong commitment to education by building school facilities across Zululand.
Through the company’s CSI programme, Tronox has been able to alleviate the serious problem of overcrowding at several schools over the past year.

Qhamuka High School at Somopho

In 2018, Tronox proudly initiated the following projects:

Nsingweni Primary School in KwaNzuza got five new classrooms in 2018.
Four new classrooms were erected at Mvuzemvuze Primary school at Mkhwanazi Traditional Authority. Tronox built five classrooms and 6 ablutions at Izenzo Primary School at Somopho Traditional Authority. In 2019 Tronox will continue building a second block of classrooms.

Qhamuka High School at Somopho Traditional Authority received four new classrooms in 2018. These extra classrooms will go a long way in making the learners’ learning environment more comfortable and conducive to academic excellence.
