Local Government Election date announced, South Africans to head to the polls in November

It’s official, South Africans will head to the polls on 4 November following today’s (Thursday) announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The announcement was made during the Extended Presidential Coordinating Council (PCC) meeting held in Boksburg.

The development paves the way for Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Velenkosini Hlabisa to officially gazette the election date.
