THE Beachcombers Photography Club members continue to exhibit entries of a remarkable standard, and the September monthly competition was no exception.
The theme was ‘Monochrome’ and the overall winning images came from Gavin Fordham with ‘Only the Strong Survive’ in the Advanced category, with Kobus Maree winning the Novice category with a lovely ‘Portrait of a Spotted Eagle Owl’.
Certificate of Merit awards were presented for the following images: ‘Portrait of a Spotted Eagle Owl’ – Kobus Maree, ‘Only the Strong Survive’ – Gavin Fordham, ‘End of Shift’ – Hein Beukes, ‘Flamingos’ – Christine Kelbe, ‘Misty Morning Reflections’ – Daryl Visser, ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ – Nobby Clarke, ‘Dark Day’ – Mike Stratton, ‘Ice Cream on the Beach’ – Hein Beukes, ‘Black Tip Shark and Remoras’ – Dudley Kelbe, ‘Dramatic Clouds’ – Nobby Clarke.
There is an open invitation to attend club meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at the NSRI base, next to the Zululand Yacht Club in Richards Bay.
Induction for new members starts at 6.10pm, and the event at 7pm sharp.
