The International Auto Sound Challenge Association (IASCA) South Africa KZN World Record Event was held this past weekend, with the IASCA Bass Boxing qualifying and finals taking place on Saturday and the IASCA iDBL on Sunday, in Amanzimtoti.

Participants brought their vehicles from far and wide to compete in what was a day full of fierce competition, iconic cars, family-friendly fun, and ground-shaking bass.

International world record holder Hank Veach from the USA was also present to shake things up.

Kevin Reddy of the North Coast Riders Club competed on Sunday among some of the loudest and best in the country.

He placed second in his class, posting a 153.50dB at 3 600rms with only a single Targa battery in the front and two 15-inch subwoofers running in the hatch 2 class 6 000rms.

These included veteran competitors and agents such as Starsound SA, Targa SA, Bass Power, Mamba Sport, and Chetty’s Car Audio.

This is quite the achievement and, along with his points from the start of the 2026 season in October last year, earned Kevin points towards the finals in October.
